How to Make a Jeffersonian Bookstand

The video below is a bit of a departure from my usual science fare. It shows the construction of a bookstand modeled on one found in Thomas Jefferson’s office at Monticello, and it was a lot of fun to make.

    I see you chiseled out the grooves for the supports. Do you think a router would do the trick. Did you go with the chisel for any reason in particular?

    Great work! I’m going to build two of these this winter/spring: one for me and one for a buddy who loves books.
